Player of the Year

F Meghan Lenczyk, Langley, Sr.

Named by coaches the Virginia AAA Liberty District player of the year, has 54 goals and 35 assists in her career. The repeat All-Met and 2006 All-American scored 18 goals and recorded 10 assists this season. Will play for Virginia.

Coach of the Year

T.J. Hawkins, Edison

After the Eagles were the National District's runner-up the past three years, Hawkins's defensive approach helped Edison shut out eight opponents for the school's first girls' soccer title. Edison posted a 9-2-4 record this season.

First Team

GK Gina Winters, Fairfax, Sr.

The repeat All-Met saved 245 of 264 shots, bringing her two-year total to 453 saves on 497 shots -- a .911 save percentage. Will play for Pennsylvania.

D Lauren Hallauer, Robinson, Sr.

Anchored a Robinson defense that allowed just eight goals and recorded six shutouts through 13 games en route to an undefeated regular season. Will play for Ohio State.

D Kaitlin O'Connor, Chantilly, Sr.

A repeat All-Met and four-time Virginia AAA Northern Region first-team selection, O'Connor added six goals to her impressive defensive résumé this season. Will play for William & Mary.

D Kat Weiler, Lake Braddock, Sr.

Weiler, the coaches' AAA Patriot District player of the year, is a lock-down defender, feared in the midfield, yet also scored eight goals. Will play for Pittsburgh.
