Player of the Year

MF Nik Kapus, Robinson, Sr.

The AAA Northern Region player of the year gave opposing defenses fits with his size, vision and powerful leg. He set the tempo for the Rams' potent attack with 12 goals and five assists. Will play for American.

Coach of the Year

Ryan Cox, Robinson

In his third season at the Fairfax school, the Northern Region coach of the year guided the Rams to their second straight AAA Concorde District regular-season title. Entering the region tournament semifinals, Cox's record was 31-12-7.

First Team

GK Chris Torres, McLean, Sr.

The first-team all-Northern Region goalkeeper helped the Highlanders record nine shutouts, including eight in a row during a late-season stretch. He surrendered only three goals against Liberty District opponents all season. Will play for Duquesne.

D Rodrigo Guevara, West Springfield, Sr.

The first-team all-Northern Region center back excelled at winning balls in the air and standing his ground in one-on-one situations. He anchored a defense that recorded six shutouts and surrendered less than a goal per game.

D Seth Goldman, Robinson, Jr.

Goldman earned first-team all-Northern Region honors by leading a Rams defense that surrendered only 12 goals in 15 games. He scored four goals and had three assists.

D Stephen Dunlap, Washington-Lee, Sr.

The Generals' vocal leader on the field was named first-team all-Northern Region. His ability to lead is matched by his tactical skills and vision in the back. He scored one goal and had two assists.
