Bulldogs' Gouveia To Play for Hokies

Stone Bridge defensive back Jeron Gouveia, a second-team All-Met selection last fall, has accepted a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Gouveia had 51 tackles and three interceptions as a junior this past season. Stanford was the only other school to offer Gouveia a scholarship, he said.
"I had pretty much made a decision that I wanted to play" at Virginia Tech, Gouveia said. "I was nervous waiting for the call, but when they offered I was excited -- I couldn't believe it."
