Balanchine by Farrell
The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, founded by George Balanchine's star ballerina, dances some of his masterworks and an excerpt from Maurice Bejart's 1966 "Romeo and Juliet" in two programs opening Wednesday at the Kennedy Center. The shows include the Washington premieres of two works reconstructed as part of Farrell's Balanchine Preservation Initiative. Tickets cost $29 to $84. See story on Page 20.

Ten-time Grammy Award-winning singer and "body percussionist" Bobby McFerrin conducts the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra Friday at Strathmore in Bethesda and Saturday at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore.
