Metro Red Line riders take note: It will be uncomfortably warm at the Dupont Circle and Farragut North stations for the next few days because a broken pipe under Connecticut Avenue has knocked out the cooling system, officials said today.
Repairs will most likely consist of digging up the street to locate and repair the broken section of pipe, officials said. Metro officials said they don't yet know how long it will take to fix the broken pipe, but it is likely to be at least several days.
Metro is working with District officials to coordinate the repairs and lane closures, if necessary.
