SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GERMANTOWN AREA,8 a.m. May 13. A man at a hotel attempted to rape a woman. An acquaintance of the woman, a Clarksburg man, 21, was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and first- and second-degree assault.

ASHMEADE RD.,18400 block, 4:15 to 11 p.m. May 13. Property was stolen from a residence.

BRINK RD.,11900 block, 6 p.m. May 12 to 2:30 p.m. May 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

FESTIVAL DR.,19000 block, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20. Property was stolen from a residence.

KILMARNOK WAY,13300 block, 12:01 a.m. May 13 to noon May 14. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

MILL POND TERR.,20300 block, 5:15 p.m. May 16 to 1 p.m. May 17. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

KEY WEST AVE.,9800 block, 5 p.m. May 16. A man grabbed a woman as she was leaving a medical facility, made sexual remarks to her and tried to force her to come with him. The woman was able to escape in her car.

BRADBURY DR.,12200 block, 7 to 10 a.m. May 15. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

BUTTERWICK CT.,1 to 100 block, 11:15 to 11:30 p.m. May 14. Property was stolen from a residence.

FREDERICK AVE. S.,500 block, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 20. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

WESTSIDE DR.,700 block, 12:46 to 12:56 a.m. May 21. A residence was entered by force. Nothing was reported missing.

ADAMS ST. S.,100 block, May 18. Cash was stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked rear window.

CONGRESSIONAL LANE,200 block, 4 p.m. May 10 to 4 p.m. May 13. A suitcase was stolen from an unoccupied vehicle.

DOVER RD.,600 block, 8:30 to 10 p.m. May 23. A purse and a cellphone were stolen from an unoccupied vehicle.

HALPINE RD.,5900 block, 5 p.m. May 21 to 6:30 a.m. May 22. A power saw, several work benches and tools were stolen from a business.

INFIELD CT.,1 to 100 block, 9 p.m. May 21 to 9:30 p.m. May 22. A part from a vehicle's center console was stolen from a locked vehicle.

ROCKVILLE PIKE,1500 block, 2:31 to 3:25 p.m. May 22. Several boxes of hair extensions were stolen from a retail store.

TOWER OAKS BLVD.,2000 block, 5 p.m. May 18 to 6 a.m. May 12. Power tools and accessories were stolen from three toolboxes on a construction site entered by forcing open a gate.

WASHINGTON ST. S.,200 block, 7 p.m. May 19 to 9:30 a.m. May 20. A purse, a cellphone and a set of car keys were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

MAPLE AVE.,7600 block, 6:10 p.m. May 27 to 10:45 a.m. May 28. A 1998 Dodge Caravan was stolen.
