District 1 Rockville Station Telephone: 240-773-6070ROCKVILLE AREA,3 p.m. May 15. A man reportedly raped a 20-year-old woman at her home when she refused his advances. An adult male acquaintance of the woman has been identified as a suspect.
THEFTS/BREAK-INSHALLER PL.,4600 block, 8:30 p.m. May 10 to 9:30 a.m. May 11. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.
JOSHUA TREE RD.,100 block, 6 to 9 p.m. May 18. Property was stolen from a residence.
TRAVILLE GATEWAY DR.,9700 block, 2 a.m. May 19. Property was stolen from a dry cleaning store entered by force.
District 2 Bethesda Station Telephone: 301-652-9200KERRY RD.,8100 block, 1:30 a.m. May 16. A residence was entered by force and property was damaged.
RIVER RD.,5100 block, 11 a.m. May 15 to 10 a.m. May 16. A construction business was entered by force and property was damaged.
District 3 Silver Spring Station Telephone: 301-565-7740DECEMBER WAY AREA,3 a.m. May 15. A 20-year-old woman went with a female acquaintance to a man's home. The male homeowner reportedly raped her when the woman went to sleep. The man's identity is not known and an investigation was continuing.
ROBBERIESATHERTON ROAD AND ILFORD STREET,2:30 a.m. May 13. A man tripped an adult male pedestrian, 39, and apparently placed a knife to the pedestrian's chest. The assailant and another man took cash, a watch and a cellphone and ran toward Connecticut Avenue.
BLACKBURN ROAD AREA,6:15 p.m. May 17. Three men at a park chased a 14-year-old boy they were accompanying, forced him to the ground and punched him in the face. The men shot the boy with a BB gun, slashed him with a knife and dragged him to a creek, where the men put his head under water for a second. Afterward, the men took the boy's jeans and threw rocks at him. The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Police said they think the men are members of a gang.
GEORGIA AVENUE AND HATHAWAY DRIVE,3 p.m. May 3. Two men in a van pulled over to the side of the road and drew knives on a 19-year-old pedestrian. They demanded cash and took the pedestrian's wallet and cellphone. The robbers got back into the vehicle, a small, light brown van, and drove south on Georgia Avenue.
GILMORE ROAD AND KERWIN ROAD,4:20 p.m. May 14. Two females and two males followed a 19-year-old woman who had gotten off a bus at the above location. One of the females struck the woman with a stick three times on the back of the head. A struggle ensued and the other female grabbed the woman's backpack and cellphone. The first assailant snatched the woman's purse and fled. The woman chased the robbers and got her purse back.
GRAND PRE ROAD AREA,9:20 p.m. May 9. A man robbed a taxi driver of company cash and a wallet after the driver brought him from the Glenmont Metro station to the above location. After receiving the cash, the robber fled in an unknown direction.
HAMPSHIRE WEST COURT AREA,2:30 p.m. May 10. Two men forced their way into the apartment of a 19-year-old woman who was entering her home holding her 2-year-old son and 4-month-old daughter. One of the men held a knife to the boy's head and told the mother not to make any noise. The assailants tied up the woman with duct tape, ransacked the apartment and took cash and jewelry. They fled in an unknown direction.
NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE.,15500 block, 8:50 p.m. May 8. A male youth and two male acquaintances in a wine-and-beer store unsuccessfully attempted to buy beer, left the store, then returned 30 minutes later, jumped over a counter, assaulted a clerk, and took cash. A 15-year-old male was arrested and charged with robbery of a business, theft over $500, theft under $500, and second-degree assault in connection with the incident.
PINEY BRANCH ROAD AREA,8 p.m. May 2. Three men accosted a man in an alley behind a library, forced him to the ground and took his wallet. One of the men carried a baseball bat. The men then fled on foot.
PINEY BRANCH RD.,8100 block, 4:35 p.m. May 14. A man in a paint store demanded to see a manager, pulled out a gun, pushed the manager and demanded property. The manager realized the robber's gun was a toy and pushed back. The robber fled the store and got into a vehicle driven by another male.
PINEY BRANCH RD.,9300 block, 7:40 p.m. May 3. A man struggled with a 32-year-old female pedestrian and took her purse. A male passerby tried to help the woman, but the robber pulled out a knife, forced him to the ground and took his wallet. The robber then fled and a white vehicle that had been waiting picked him up.
VEIRS MILL AND GRIDLEY ROADS,4 p.m. May 3. Two men in a wooded area accosted a 25-year-old man and ordered him to empty his pockets. When the man refused, one of the assailants pulled out a knife. The other assailant threw a glass bottle at the man. Cash and papers were taken. Two men were later arrested.

District 4 Wheaton Station Telephone: 240-773-5500VEIRS MILL RD.,11100 block, 6 p.m. May 11. Four people, two of them male youths, in a coffee shop attacked two brothers, ages 12 and 16, and an acquaintance of the brothers. Property was stolen from both brothers. Two people have been identified as suspects, and an investigation was continuing.

DOVER RD.,600 block, 8:30 to 10 p.m. May 23. A purse and a cellphone were stolen from an unoccupied vehicle.
HALPINE RD.,5900 block, 5 p.m. May 21 to 6:30 a.m. May 22. A power saw, several work benches and tools were stolen from a business.
INFIELD CT.,1 to 100 block, 9 p.m. May 21 to 9:30 p.m. May 22. A part from a vehicle's center console was stolen from a locked vehicle.
ROCKVILLE PIKE,1500 block, 2:31 to 3:25 p.m. May 22. Several boxes of hair extensions were stolen from a retail store.
TOWER OAKS BLVD.,2000 block, 5 p.m. May 18 to 6 a.m. May 12. Power tools and accessories were stolen from three toolboxes on a construction site entered by forcing open a gate.
WASHINGTON ST. S.,200 block, 7 p.m. May 19 to 9:30 a.m. May 20. A purse, a cellphone and a set of car keys were stolen from a residence entered through an unlocked garage.
