During our online chat (most Mondays at 2 p.m.), you ask and we answer your travel questions -- mostly. Here's one we couldn't get to last week.
Can you suggest a great little town for an overnight stop between New York and Cape Cod, Mass.?
One good option is Mystic, Conn., a former whaling port and shipbuilding site with a restored seaport packed with apothecaries, old-school workshops, galleries and antiques shops. It's less than three hours north of New York on Interstate 95.
There are museums, a replicated schooner and an aquarium, and if you're a fan of Julia Roberts, you probably could guess that the family-run Mystic Pizza (56 W. Main St.) is the most famous place to eat in town; Roberts starred in the 1988 flick of the same name. Stay overnight at the 100-year-old mansion at the Inn at Mystic (800-237-2415, http://www.innatmystic.com/; from $95).
More info: Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, 860-572-9578, http://www.mysticchamber.org/.
