Two major business organizations last week issued hefty annual evaluations of local trends and issues.

The D.C. Chamber of Commerce's "State of the Business Report" took note of some positive developments but warned that the longstanding "structural imbalance" in the local economy must still be addressed. It can be downloaded from http://www.dcchamber.org/clientuploads/2007_Biz_Report.pdf.
