Washington Redskins right guard Randy Thomas underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the team announced yesterday.
The surgery was performed by team physician Ray Thal at the Reston Surgery Center. Thomas, 31, is expected to be ready for training camp, which begins July 27.
He played in 16 games last season and 14 in 2005; he missed the last two regular season games and the playoffs that year after he broke his leg against the Cowboys in December. In his first eight years, Thomas has been one of the more durable linemen in the league, playing in at least 13 games each season.
The team's three-day minicamp starts tomorrow at Redskins Park.
