General Travel

Here are some ideas from our kids' travel panel to make family trips more fun and go more smoothly. The kids said they hadn't mentioned most of these ideas to their parents, but as one commented, "I should have."

· Don't argue inside a hotel room. Other people might be able to hear.

· Ease off when it comes to slathering on sunblock whenever kids go outside.

· At a theme park or water park, instead of "seeing if we can all go on every ride, let us go on the rides we like best more than one time."

· Don't go into so many grocery stores on trips, and don't talk so much about "how good the fruits and vegetables are."

· Fairs or carnivals aren't always that interesting.
