The Washington Wizards, who will pick 16th and 47th in the June 28 NBA draft, will conduct workouts today with shooting guard Marco Belinelli (Italy), forward Jamareo Davidson (Alabama), center Glen Davis (LSU), shooting guard Brandon Heath (San Diego State) and forward Ali Traore (France).
The team will continue to host prospects this week and next and expect to see 40 to 45 players.
Davis, who is nicknamed "Big Baby" and led LSU to the Final Four in 2006, is projected to be taken in the second round after averaging 17.7 points and Southeastern Conference-best 10.4 rebounds last season as a junior.
The 6-foot-5, 192-pound Belinelli is one of the top players in Europe and averaged 16.4 points on 54.4 percent shooting for Fortitudo Bologna.
Two underclassmen the Wizards have worked out -- shooting guards Nick Young (USC) and Daequan Cook (Ohio State) -- recently announced that they will remain in the draft. However, Young may have played himself out of Washington's reach because he is one of 15 top players invited to attend the draft in New York.
