Rockville Rocks All Year Long

In his June 15 Style review of "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer," The Post's Stephen Hunter called the movie, among other things, "as grim as February in Rockville."
Hunter clearly failed to see the possibilities for enjoyment in Rockville during the winter.
Is his grim February day one when the trees of our Upper Watts Branch Forest Preserve are beautifully coated with snow?
Is it a day when Rockville residents are headed to the Music Center at Strathmore to hear a world-class symphony orchestra? Is it a Saturday or holiday weekend when shoppers are running in and out of the stores along Rockville Pike? Is it an evening when residents are enjoying the wide array of new restaurants in our Town Center? Is it an afternoon when Maryland's only professional basketball team, the Maryland Nighthawks, is playing on the Montgomery College campus? Is it a day when artwork is on display at the city's Glenview Mansion? Or when our impressive new public library is open to all comers?
Mr. Hunter, please come out of those darkened movie theaters and look around Rockville in February before you consider this kind of slur again.
