Romney Donates to Himself Again
Republican Mitt Romney said yesterday that he has again given money to his presidential campaign and that he may do so again before Saturday, when the second-quarter reporting period for fundraising ends.
The former venture capitalist, who has a net worth estimated at up to $350 million, declined to say how much money he has contributed.
Romney said that the $4 million he spent on early advertising required the personal contributions.

Still No Challenger for Dole
Rep. Brad Miller (D-N.C.) has decided not to run against Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.) in 2008, a decision that leaves Democrats without an obvious challenger for the freshman senator.
Miller, who was elected to Congress in 2002, had expressed some interest in the race following the release of several polls showing that Dole could be vulnerable.
