Link to Maine Via AirTran

AirTran Airways has launched nonstop service between Portland, Maine, and Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The airline will offer three daily flights to Portland International Jetport.

More Flights in Americas

Southwest Airlines has announced it will offer service through ATA Airlines from Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean to BWI by 2009. Southwest and ATA have a partnership that allows each airline to offer connecting flights on the other carrier.

Adding Overseas Routes

Maxjet Airways has announced it will expand its service abroad. The airline now offers service between Dulles International Airport and London and plans to offer flights from London to the Middle East, Asia and Africa, officials said.

TSA to Expedite at Dulles?

Dulles is among several airports that are considering applying to participate in the Transportation Security Administration's Registered Traveler program.

Registered travelers receive expedited security screening, concierge service for luggage and other concessions after passing a security assessment by the TSA.
