The Fairfax County Connector bus service will operate on a Saturday schedule on July 4. The schedule was incorrect in a listing of July 4 events and closings in the June 28 Fairfax Extra.

· Libraries: Closed.

· Park Authority: Nature centers will be open noon-5 p.m.; historic sites will be open 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Frying Pan Farm Park will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., but visitor center will be closed; Green Spring Gardens will be open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., but historic house will be closed; the Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole at Lake Fairfax Park will be open 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; RECenters will be open, except George Washington, which will be closed, and Lee District, which will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Town of Herndon


· Town offices: Closed.

· Trash collection: Regular pickup.

· Community center: Open 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

· Herndon Centennial Golf Course: Open 6 a.m.-6 p.m.

Town of Vienna


· Town Hall: Closed.

· Trash collection: No trash pickup. Collection on the Wednesday trash collection route will be done July 6. No curbside recycling July 6.
