Happy With Homeowners Groups

About 57 million people live in communities governed by associations, including homeowners associations, condominiums and cooperatives. A 2005 survey of association members by Zogby Research found:

Nearly 70 percent rated their experiences positively; 10 percent expressed discontent.

About 80 percent said the association's rules enhanced property values. One percent said they hurt values.
