Two weeks and counting down: The deadline for Weekend's Summer Fun Photo Contest is Aug. 17, but you still have time to capture some fun and send it our way. Or look through photos you've taken since Memorial Day and pick your favorite to share. (Please send only local photos.) We'll pick a winner along with other favorites to publish in Weekend, and more will be available at http:/
Here are the rules:
One entry per person. Photos must have been taken after Memorial Day. They can be in print or digital form. (Sorry, no slides.) Prints should be 4 by 6 inches or 5 by 7 inches. Attach a sticker with your name, phone number, address and a detailed caption on the back of the photo, or include that information in an e-mail if you are sending a digital picture. Digital files should be 1 megabyte or less. Photos, which are nonreturnable, may be color or black-and-white.
Send prints to Weekend Section Photo Contest, The Washington Post, 1150 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20071. E-mail digital entries to wkndcontest@washpost.com. Put "Photo Contest" in the subject field. Entries must be received by Aug. 17. Photos become the property of The Washington Post, which may edit, publish, distribute and republish them in any form. No purchase is necessary. Post employees and their immediate families are not eligible. Winning photos will be published Aug. 31.
