More MASN Confusion Irks Nats' President

Sunday, August 5, 2007

The first few innings of the Washington Nationals' game last night weren't seen in some areas because of confusion between the entities that carry the game, according to Nationals President Stan Kasten.

The game was supposed to be carried on MASN2, a cable network, or WDCA-20, depending on geography. But in some places, the game did not appear on WDCA-20.

"On no occasion are the Nats responsible for which network carries the games," Kasten said. "This has happened too often. I'm damn tired of it."

A MASN spokesman said by e-mail there was 'a technical issue' that was resolved. MASN, which is owned by Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos, pays the Nationals for the right to broadcast their games.
