CRIME
Arrest in Restaurant Slaying
D.C. police arrested a 21-year-old District man yesterday in a killing this summer at the Steak & Egg restaurant in the Shaw neighborhood.
Donnel Harris of the 5200 block of Nash Place SE was charged with second-degree murder while armed in the killing of Michael Richardson, 30, police said.
Robinson was shot about 2:30 a.m. June 29. Harris pulled out a gun and shot Richardson during a fight in the restaurant, police said.
The wounded man collapsed on the sidewalk outside the restaurant.
The Steak & Egg has since closed. After the shooting of Robinson, D.C. Council member Jim Graham (D-Ward 1) called for the city to take action, saying two other people had been shot in the restaurant in the previous four months.
