Fair Days in Arlington
The 31st annual Arlington County Fair winds down Sunday at Thomas Jefferson Community Center. This year's theme is "A Family of Neighbors." The fair showcases the county's multiethnic variety with entertainment on multiple stages; educational and cultural exhibits by community organizations; carnival rides and games; a rock-climbing wall; police K-9 demonstrations; pony rides and pig races; a petting zoo; and international foods. Admission is free.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre dances "Nine Sinatra Songs," choreographed by Twyla Tharp to "That's Life," "My Way" and other Frank Sinatra classics, Tuesday at Wolf Trap. George Balanchine's "Theme and Variations," set to music by Tchaikovsky, and "Smoke 'n Roses," accompanied by a jazz score, are also on the program. More than a dozen nationally ranked professional "gurgitators," including local stars Juliet Lee and Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, will face off at the Three Brothers Pizza World Pizza Eating Championship on Saturday in Greenbelt. Chicago chef Pat Bertoletti will be on hand to defend his record of downing 19 slices in 10 minutes. The bell for the pro show, sanctioned by Major League Eating, rings at 3; preliminary festivities start at 11 and amateur overeaters compete at 1. Admission is free.
