20 -- "Days of Stars, Moon and Dreams," a program of three works by choreographer Alvin Mayes, featuring vocals by the a cappella ensemble Not What You Think. At the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington.

20 -- Choreographers Collaboration Project presents sections of "On the Move," inspired by the Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria. At Lee Center, Kauffman Auditorium.

20 -- El Teatro de Danza Contemporanea de El Salvador performs classical, contemporary and indigenous works. At Dance Place. Through Oct. 21.

21 -- Joy of Motion Dance Center's 31st anniversary celebration concert featuring the center's resident arts partners such as CrossCurrents Dance Company and Dana Tai Soon Burgess & Co. At Atlas Performing Arts Center.

25 -- Sophiline Cheam Shapiro re-imagines Mozart's "Magic Flute" as "Pamina Devi: A Cambodian Magic Flute," transporting the opera to Cambodia, with 32 classical dancers, musicians and singers. At Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Kay Theatre. Through Oct. 26.
