The Dew Tour Will Deliver A Flurry of Activity in 2008

Friday, September 14, 2007

The Dew Tour announced yesterday that it will launch a three-stop winter tour beginning in December 2008 and continuing in January and February of 2009. The winter tour will feature freeskiing and snowboarding for men and women, with potential disciplines including superpipe, slopestyle and cross events.

The tour will be conducting site visits around North America over the next several months to determine the three mountain resorts that will host the events. The hosts will be confirmed by early 2008.

Following the format of the summer Dew Tour, the winter version will be based on a cumulative points system, with a Dew Cup champion crowned in each discipline at the conclusion of the final stop.

"The move into winter extends the Dew Tour into a year-long platform and is consistent with our founding vision of providing greater continuity, context and infrastructure to action sports through the pro tour," said Wade Martin, president of the Dew Tour.
