Road Woes
Before their 20-12 win last night, the Redskins had experienced difficulty winning in Philadelphia recently, with the last win there over the past five games coming in the 2005 regular season finale, 31-20. The Redskins lost the other four games by an average of 15.3 points, including 27-3 last season and 28-6 in 2004.
Back in Action
Clinton Portis was back on the field at Lincoln Financial Field for the first time since he broke his hand at the same stadium in Week 9 last season. Portis carried six times for 25 yards in that game but was placed on injured reserve two days later. Last night, Portis ran for four yards on the first play from scrimmage and picked up a blitzer in the same series.
Brotherly Love
While the atmosphere at an Eagles home game may not live up to the city's friendly nickname, brothers Brian and Byron Westbrook share a local football bond. Both attended DeMatha, and while Brian is an established star, Byron is a rookie cornerback on the Redskins' practice squad who last week played scout team tailback trying to simulate his brother.
