Anticipated Return
During the first quarter, Eagles return specialist Reno Mahe may have received the loudest standing ovation for a three-yard punt return in NFL history. The Eagles fans, of course, were responding to last week's special teams disaster, when the Eagles lost to the Green Bay Packers, 16-13, thanks to two muffed punts.
Quotable
"I didn't want to come. He said if I should stop coming to the games, let the Lord be the one to stop me coming. Don't let the fans stop me."

Delivering Blows
The separated shoulder Clinton Portis suffered while making a tackle during an interception return during the 2006 preseason opener hasn't dampened the running back's enthusiasm for contact. Portis leveled Eagles cornerback William James after his second-quarter interception and was credited with tackling Dolphins safety Renaldo Hill after an interception in Week 1.
