A homicide victim in Largo appears to have been targeted, Prince George's County police said.

Officers received a call at about 10:45 a.m. yesterday from the Lake Arbor Tower apartment building in the 11000 block of Lake Arbor Way. When they arrived, they discovered the victim, Leonard Cornelius Hopkins, 32, who lived in the apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene from what police described as "trauma to his upper body."

A woman who also lived in the fifth-floor apartment told police that when she arrived home, two men accosted her at the front door, forced her inside and then bound and gagged her. Two other men then entered the apartment.

The four men waited inside for Hopkins. When he arrived, a brief struggle ensued and Hopkins was killed. The intruders fled.

Police believe Hopkins was targeted, but they have no motive. The apartment was ransacked.
