Flu vaccine will be available in every jurisdiction in the coming months.
People can call their health-care provider, hospital or health department for details about dates and costs. Some school districts will offer the FluMist spray to students.
In addition, several private organizations run major immunization programs in the Washington area. For information on some schedules, check http://www.findaflushot.com or call Inova HealthSource at 877-895-5284.
Immunization is free for seniors whose primary insurance is Medicare Part B (non-HMO).
