Best book read: "One Hundred Years of Solitude," by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Won't leave home without: "My laptop."

On her iPod: Electric Light Orchestra "and lots of '70s stuff."

Best gift ever: "My engagement ring."

Favorite comfort food: "Anything carb-related. I want bagels with butter and peanut butter and jelly, cakes and scones."

Movie that never gets old:"The Shining."

Personal trait she hopes her yet-to-be-born baby girl will inherit: Martial arts enthusiasm. "I'm gonna have her do it from a very early age. . . . I so want her to never know what it's like to not be strong and limber."

Drink of choice: Sprite.

Worst habit: Impulsiveness. "And I can have a short fuse sometimes."

Favorite childhood memory: "Going to Magic Mountain [amusement park] with my dad. We would go, just the two of us."
