Four "suspicious" small fires broke out in bathroom trash cans in two Senate office buildings today, said Sgt. Kimberly Schneider of the U.S. Capitol Police.
Nobody was injured in the fires, and all were quickly extinguished, Schneider said.
Between 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. two fires burned in the Dirksen office building, and one in the Heart building. Then, at about 2 p.m., another one broke out in the Dirksen, Schneider said.
"They are suspicious in nature," Schneider said. "We are working to see if these are all connected."
