Wilson has filed a protest with the D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association of its football game against Coolidge last Friday, alleging the Colts used a player in that game who suited up for DeMatha in the Stags' season opener on Sept. 2.

DCIAA rules prohibit players from playing the same sport at two different schools in the same school year, regardless of whether one school is not a D.C. public school.

Coolidge (5-1) defeated Wilson 34-13, and the suspected player rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown, according to statistics provided to The Post by Colts Coach Jason Lane.

DeMatha Coach Bill McGregor said that in the Sept. 2 game, the player appeared on the Stags' kickoff coverage twice. "He was on the field for two plays," McGregor said, adding that the player left DeMatha on Sept. 4.

There is also a DCIAA rule requiring football players to complete eight practices before appearing in a game. According to Wilson Coach Horace Fleming, the student enrolled at Coolidge on Sept. 24

DCIAA Executive Director Allen Chin said he received the letter from Wilson yesterday detailing the allegations, and has forwarded the claims on to Coolidge. He said he will render a decision after receiving Coolidge's response and other information as he investigates.
