GOOD COUNSEL: The Falcons' sixth-ranked girls' soccer team earned a split of the season series with No. 5 O'Connell with Tuesday's 1-0 win, which was shortened because of lightning. ROCKVILLE: With Tuesday's 1-0 overtime win over Damascus, the Rams' girls' soccer team (7-1-1, 4-0-1) claimed the Montgomery County 3A/2A/1A West Division title. Six of Rockville's seven wins have been 1-0 victories during a season in which it has scored 10 goals and allowed 10 goals. Eight of the Rams' 10 goals were allowed in the team's season-opening 8-0 loss to Whitman.

ST. ANDREW'S: With a 157-205 win yesterday over St. James at Worthington Manor in Ijamsville, the Lions ended their golf regular season with a 10-0 record. Senior captain Lee Miller, junior Nathan Richter, sophomores Aidan Bundy and Jeremy Burke, and freshmen Tim Gregg and Ralfe Hickman combined for a team average of just more than 38 strokes per nine hole match. The Mid-Atlantic Conference championship is Tuesday.

ST. JOHN'S (D.C.): Senior outside hitter Shannon Fitzpatrick has sparked the Cadets volleyball team to a 12-4 record, the best record for the program since 2004. Also, senior setter Asia Carr is closing in on 400 career assists, and senior outside hitter Nazhoni Rushing earned her 100th career ace and is approaching 250 career kills.
