Because of drought and limited production in the United States, most of the grass-fed beef sold in Washington grocery stores comes from Australia and South America. However, you can buy U.S. grass-fed beef at local farms and online. Many smaller producers sell only larger quantities -- a quarter- or half-cow -- but bigger operations sell individual cuts.
