The Cardinals dominated the quarter, cutting the lead to 21-13 with a 10-yard pass from Kurt Warner to Boldin. Boldin got open in the middle of the end zone after Warner scrambled out of pressure. The touchdown capped a 12-play drive that began in the third quarter. The Cardinals scored their second touchdown of the quarter when backup quarterback Tim Rattay completed a one-yard pass to Leonard Pope. The two-point conversion failed, forcing Arizona to attempt an onside kick. The Cardinals recovered with 20 seconds to play and advanced to the Redskins 37 to set up a 55-yard field goal attempt by Rackers, but the kick sailed wide left with in the closing seconds .
