Nationals' Young Sweeps Comeback Awards
Washins first baseman Dmitri Young made it a clean sweep of comeback player honors when he received the Major League Baseball Players Association's award as the NL's comeback player of the year.
Young, who earlier received similar awards from MLB and the Sporting News, overcame a series of legal, personal and health issues to hit .320 and drive in 74 runs. His renaissance season yielded a two-year, $10 million contract extension from Washington.
