More Los Angeles Flights

United Airlines has added a third flight from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Los Angeles International Airport, a BWI spokesman said. The flight leaves Los Angeles at 1:15 p.m. and arrives at BWI at 9:10 p.m. The return flight leaves BWI at 9:15 a.m. and arrives in Los Angeles at 12:07 p.m.

Automatic Security Tests

BWI is one of several airports piloting an automatic explosive detection system, the Transportation Security Administration said. The system inspects carry-on bags for explosives and weapons and has the potential to replace X-ray technology used at U.S. airports, the TSA said.

Nonstop Service to Tucson

Starting Feb. 14, United Airlines will resume daily nonstop service from Dulles International Airport to Tucson International Airport, according to the Tucson Airport Authority. The seasonal flights will continue through June 2.
