4 Stabbed in Soccer Teams' Fight

Four people were stabbed yesterday afternoon when members of two soccer teams playing on a field near RFK Stadium got into a fight, D.C. police said. None of the wounds was life-threatening, said police Sgt. Pemberton Logan.

Three of the four victims were taken to the hospital, including one person stabbed in the thigh and another under the arm, Logan said.

Logan said police are investigating.

Restaurant Closed After Violence

A Georgia Avenue restaurant was closed yesterday by D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier after two people were stabbed there Saturday, police said.

El Pulgarcito de America restaurant in the 5300 block of Georgia Avenue NW was closed for up to 96 hours pending a hearing, police said. They said the stabbings reportedly occurred after an argument.
