Quick Start

When these teams played in Philadelphia in September, the Eagles failed to score a touchdown in 10 meaningful possessions. Yesterday, Philadelphia reached the end zone on its first possession, an 11-play, 82-yard drive that quieted the FedEx Field crowd at least temporarily.

On the Clock

In a season filled with clock-management issues, Washington took another questionable timeout just before a Philadelphia punt late in the first half. Then late in the game when the Redskins needed timeouts the most, they had none in the final eight minutes after using them in debatable situations earlier.

The Cowboys and Redskins continue one of the most heated rivalries in sports. Dallas (8-1) is coming off a victory over the Giants that kept Tony Romo and the Cowboys in first place in the NFC East. The Redskins have won three of the past four games against Dallas, including 22-19 in their most recent matchup, Nov. 5 of last season.
