Jason Campbell opened the quarter with an 11-yard scramble to give Washington a first and goal on the 2-yard line. A penalty pushed the Redskins back to the 7, but two plays later Campbell found James Thrash in the back corner of the end zone for a touchdown. Place kicker Shaun Suisham missed the extra point. The Eagles' next drive stalled at the Redskins 40, and Washington moved 92 yards on 10 plays and took the lead on Thrash's second score of the game, a 12-yard catch in the back of the end zone. The two-point conversion attempt was no good. After trading punts, Philadelphia drove to the Redskins 36-yard line, but David Akers missed a 53-yard field goal attempt.
