Top Passer
Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb, recently named the best quarterback in the franchise's 75 years, surpassed Ron Jaworski as the Eagles' career leader in completions in the fourth quarter. His 45-yard touchdown pass to Reggie Brown gave McNabb 2,089 career completions.
Back and Forth
Two of the game's three turnovers came on consecutive plays in the fourth quarter. Redskins running back Ladell Betts fumbled on his first carry of the day, a play that was unsuccessfully challenged by Coach Joe Gibbs. But on the next play, Andre Carter sacked McNabb, and Anthony Montgomery fell on the loose ball.
Unlikely Benefactor
Washington's wide receiver scoring drought officially ended with 13 minutes 16 seconds remaining in the second quarter. The recipient? Eleven-year veteran James Thrash, who was starting because of injuries to Santana Moss. Thrash's four-yard touchdown catch was his second in four years. He added a second touchdown later in the quarter.
