For Moss, if the Shoe Fits . . .
Even a limited role for Santana Moss, above, would help the Redskins on Sunday in Dallas. "He's going to get a lot of coverage," Antwaan Randle El said.

"With him being on the field, he's going to get a lot of coverage with his speed and the way he makes plays," said Randle El, who has remained in the lineup despite a hamstring injury. "If he's out there, if he can go, it'll be good."
[an error occurred while processing this directive]Of course, Moss's heel has not healed completely, so he could have a limited role against the Cowboys.
"That'll be dependent on how he feels on Sunday," Saunders said. "Hopefully, he'll feel better [today] and then he'll feel better on Sunday. And if he can take the whole load then that would be great. But realistically, he hasn't practiced now for two weeks. You'll probably limit his role somewhat, but he'll get as many snaps as he can take."
Moss said he couldn't predict his level of effectiveness against Dallas after his second long layoff of the season because of an injury.
"You never know. I haven't done much," Moss said. "I'm just trying to do whatever I can. If I can be available, I'm going to try to be available."
Redskins Notes: Strong-side linebacker Marcus Washington, who has missed four of the past five games because of recurring hamstring problems, participated in full drills throughout the week and is optimistic about playing against the rival Cowboys.
"I was able to get a good week in. I prepared like I'm going to play, and I'll go down there Sunday ready to go," Washington said. "You always want to be on the field, at least I do. But if there's one you really want to be a part of it's this one." . . .
After a week spent preparing for the Cowboys, Gibbs said the Redskins will face a challenge among their most difficult of the season. "When you're playing a team like this, you watch 'em on film, I don't think there's much you have to say about it [to the team] because they're very, very good," Gibbs said. "They're very, very good across the board. Their record shows it, the stats show it and our guys know it."
