Quarterback Jason Campbell returns to the place of his first NFL start to face the first team that beat him. The Buccaneers have one of the game's premier secondaries and play a deep zone defense -- the Tampa-2 -- expertly.
"The main thing I really enjoyed about that game is it gave me an opportunity to see where I was at as a second-year quarterback playing against a real good defense," Campbell said. "Playing back in Tampa gives me a special feeling."
The Redskins have had trouble getting downfield against deep zone defenses, and Tampa Bay ranks third in passing yards allowed per game.
"It's something they play very well, they're probably the best team to play it out of anybody," he said. "We have the utmost respect for those guys on that side of the ball because they do a great job of reacting to receivers and reacting to running backs once they have the ball in their hands."
Rookie safety Tanard Jackson has given the secondary a different look.
"Their safeties, they will hit you," Campbell said. "They remind me a lot of [Redskins safety LaRon Landry]. Those guys come out of nowhere and like to lay the hammer on someone."
Campbell is enthused by the recent trend of going more to the no-huddle and four-receiver sets.
"We're totally different as an offense than we were early in the year," he said. "It's like night and day."
