Flip Flips, Then Exits Game Early

Monday, November 26, 2007

Pistons Coach Flip Saunders was ejected in the third quarter of yesterday's game against the Jazz. Saunders had been upset with the officials throughout the game and was given a technical by Marc Davis while arguing a foul called on Tayshaun Prince. Saunders continued to argue and was ejected by Davis moments later.

Ronnie Brewer made both free throws to give Utah a 72-66 lead.

Meantime, Pistons C Rasheed Wallace missed yesterday's game against Utah because of a knee injury. Wallace, who injured the knee in the win over New York on Wednesday, also missed the victory against Philadelphia on Friday. He is the fourth leading scorer for the Pistons with 15.2 points, and leads the team with 7.20 rebounds.

All-star G Richard Hamilton was scheduled to start despite missing practice with flu-like symptoms.

¿ MRI FOR MARTIN: Nuggets F Kenyon Martin was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam today after straining his right knee during Saturday's game against Houston.

Martin has had knee troubles before. Over the previous two seasons, he missed 106 games because of microfracture surgeries on both knees.

¿ O'NEAL OUT: Pacers F Jermaine O'Neal missed his third straight game when he sat out yesterday's game against the Cavaliers with swelling in his left knee and lower leg. The timetable for the six-time all-star's return is uncertain. It was the 86th regular season game he has missed in just over three seasons.

O'Neal had offseason surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee that hobbled him during the final two months of last season. He hurt the knee again on Oct. 8 during a practice, and later hyperextended it.
