Frost Warning

Redskins punter Derrick Frost was shaky on his first two attempts with a wet ball. His first punt went off the side of his foot and traveled 38 yards, and his second was a line drive that covered 41 yards, but about 15 yards came after the ball had landed and rolled on the slick turf. He also had a punt in the second quarter roll about 20 yards.

Minutes and seconds elapsed before Redskins backup quarterback Todd Collins completed his first pass of the game. The completion went to wide receiver Santana Moss and covered 36 yards.

Helmet Issues

Redskins punt returner Antwaan Randle El was scrambling on the sideline to find his helmet just moments before a Giants punt early in the second quarter. Randle El finally tracked down his the missing equipment, grabbed it from an assistant, strapped it on quickly and fielded the punt for no gain.
