"Hungry" is the first novel by Alethea Eason, a reading specialist in Northern California who ha s taught in elementary schools for more than 20 years. In February she will be moving to Concon, Chile, where a new teaching challenge awaits.

Eason and her husband have three dogs, including one named Wiley,whom she describes as "everyone's boyfriend."
