The Redskins put away the game early in the quarter when Collins completed a 42-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Moss down the right sideline. Moss finished the game with 115 yards and one score on eight catches and frustrated the Dallas secondary all day. The Cowboys, behind backup quarterback Brad Johnson, took over at their 45 on their ensuing possession. On the first play of that drive, Johnson completed a 35-yard pass to Miles Austin and later a 12-yarder to Sam Hurd. Julius Jones carried for three yards to the Redskins 3, but the drive stalled and Folk kicked a 30-yard field goal to end the scoring.
