No Baby on the Way

Despite rumors to the contrary, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban are not expecting a child, Kidman's publicist has told an Australian newspaper.

London's Daily Mail first reported that the actress, 40, was pregnant with her and Urban's first child, saying she had shared the news with friends and family members over the Christmas holiday. But a story in Melbourne's Herald Sun quotes Kidman's Australian publicist denying the claim:

"It is incorrect. She must have had about 30 babies by now. . . . It's the silly season. As far as we're concerned, it's another rumor out of London."

Kidman is currently with her family in her native country, where she is shooting director Baz Luhrmann's film "Australia" with Hugh Jackman, People magazine reports.

Miley's Sleepover Fuss

Squeaky clean "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus ,15, has lashed out about photos of her and a friend that hit the Internet last week, insisting the images represented innocent fun at a sleepover and were "nothing bad."

Miley told New York's Z100 radio station last Friday that the controversy over the photos -- one showing her and a female friend sharing a piece of red licorice on what appears to be a bed -- has upset her, and is "Satan attacking."

"It's not something I'm going to let slide," she said, later adding: "It's two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that's bad, then what is the world coming to?"

The actress/singer said she's used to public attention, but her friend in the photographs is not:"This girl doesn't even have to deal with that, and it's so hard."

Praise for LiLo in Italy

After a rocky year in real life and on the screen, Lindsay Lohan won't likely get much love during the upcoming awards season. But the Capri Hollywood International Film Festival appears to see more in LiLo than its American counterparts do. Lohan, 21, last week accepted an award at the gathering in Italy for -- brace yourself -- her work in cinema.

"It is indeed an honor to have Lindsay Lohan at Capri Hollywood," the festival's producer said in a statement. "We are delighted to recognize her talent as a performing artist, as well as her position as an icon in the world of entertainment."

Of course, Lohan didn't leave Italy with just the honor: She treated herself to a Prada shopping trip shortly after getting off her plane.

POTUS: He's No Party Animal

President Bush hunkered down at his Crawford, Tex., ranch to ring in the new year, with plans last night for a Mexican-themed dinner with friends, The Post's Amy Gardner reports. When asked if the president would likely be asleep at midnight, deputy White House press secretary Scott M. Stanzel said that was a "safe bet."

Mindy McCready Freed

Authorities at a Williamson County, Tenn., jail granted early release to country singer Mindy McCready on Sunday morning, People magazine reports. McCready, 32, had been in jail since July, when she was arrested in Florida after a domestic dispute with her mother. That arrest violated her probation from a 2004 drug fraud conviction, and in September she was formally sentenced to a year in jail and an additional two years' probation.
