¿ Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. Decides disputes over citations or penalties resulting from OSHA inspections of workplaces. The three-member commission is down to two members. Any action requires agreement of both members.

¿ Council of Economic Advisers. The president's three-member economic policy board has a single appointee, its chairman, Edward P. Lazear.

¿ Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board. Investigates industrial chemical accidents. The five-member board is down to three members. Two vacant positions include the chairmanship.
