Two Artists Showcased

A photo artist and an impressionist will exhibit their work from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily through Feb. 10 at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1625 Wiehle Ave., in Reston.

The photographer, Bob Rease, works on the glory of the seasons. The impressionist, Jan Watkins, paints and cartoons.

Fantasy and Abstraction

Fantasy art will be shown from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 to 9 p.m. Sundays, with an opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Reston Community Center's Jo Ann Rose Gallery, 1609A Washington Plaza

The exhibition showcases a selection of original paintings and prints by each of the artists, with works both whimsical and abstract.

Collages and Quilts

A discussion of works in the Greater Reston Arts Center's first Focus Exhibit of the year -- collages by Anna Fine Foer combining conceptual art, imaginary landscapes and Judaica and mixed-media "quilts" made from vintage portrait photos and hand-dyed fabrics by Sonya A. Lawyer -- will be discussed at a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Greater Reston Arts Center's Focus Exhibit, 12001 Market St., Suite 103.
