Early Morning Fire Destroys D.C. Rowhouse

Fire destroyed a rowhouse and damaged two others in the 1000 block of Kenyon Streetearly this morning.

D.C. firefighters responded to the blaze at around 4:30 a.m., according to a city fire spokesman. A firefighter sustained minor injuries from falling debris and a 3-year-old was evaluated for smoke inhalation.

The house sustained heavy damage from the fire. The two adjoining houses were also damaged.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
