Dear Dr. Fox:

My 6-year-old Pembroke corgi sheds so much that I am embarrassed when she is friendly with visitors, because they are covered with fur when they leave. Also, my furniture, floors, etc. are covered with fur. I brush and bathe her often, but the problem persists.

Is there anything I can feed her or do to stop this shedding, which occurs year-round?

Many dogs are constant coat shedders. My theory is that dogs lose contact with seasonal changes that influence the winter-summer coat cycle because they spend most of their lives indoors in almost the same lighting and temperature year-round.
